(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So, I was telling _Nutty_ earlier how to jailbreak his iPod, and told him some of the best things to get... After typing that, I decided to tell him how to install OS7 theme...

Well, this hasn't been posted before, but if it has, mods please close.

EDIT: You need to be running iOS 4.1 or above.

First off, lets take a look at it:

You must login or register to view this content. <- live tiles which update regularly
You must login or register to view this content. <- this is where your Apps will be unless you choose to pin them [shown in next image]
You must login or register to view this content. <- pinning apps to the homepage
You must login or register to view this content. <- shown on the homescreen at the bottom.
You must login or register to view this content. <- showing unpinning apps

So, you're probably thinking on how to get this theme, (either that, or you're Googling it :p)

First off, I must say that you MUST have a jailbroken iPod or iPhone!

  1. Go to Cydia and press Search
  2. Search for Backboard, and install it
You must login or register to view this content.

  3. Open Backboard and hit the little "+" icon in the bottom left and name it whatever you want (this step backs up your current iPod or iPhone's state)
You must login or register to view this content.

  4. Open Safari on your iPod or iPhone and type this into the web address:
        backboard://https://bit.ly/os7link

You must login or register to view this content.

  5. The link provided should then open up Backboard.
  6. Backboard should now ask if you wish to download OS7, hit Yes.
You must login or register to view this content.

  7. Once it has completed, it will now notify you that it is completed, just hit Dismiss.
You must login or register to view this content.

  8. Now push OS7 from the Backboard list and press Install.
You must login or register to view this content.

  9. When a new pop-up pops up asking if you want to Respring, hit Respring.
You must login or register to view this content.

Everytime that you wish to update, like moving apps, or something, just go into Backboard and hit Update, this will keep your current state.

Thanks, and enjoy :y:

I have set this up before. The only bad thing about themes like this, is it requires a lot of setup and you have to change a lot to go back.

I guess, but you can get many themes for backboard, like ones which are so similar to the HTC Desire, or Android themes (not much of a difference), or many more other ones.

I personally find that the OS7 theme is better than any theme in Cydia which works on my iPod Touch 2G running 4.1.
