The thing is, these apps let me CALL, but somehow I can't RECEIVE.. And the phone I'm using to call the iPod is my house phone (do they not support house phones? only mobile or..?).

Just use skype. Its a beast. Its free aswell I think.

There's this app called TextFree with Voice. Boy does that work wonders. It's a really good app xD. You can get free minutes by downloading and launching free apps. I had over 91 minutes in less than 15 minutes. It just depends on your download speed. Make sure you have good internet connection or you'll have crappy calls.
