Now it's stuck in the emergency menu every-time I turn it on and on iTunes it says This sim card is not supported etc. I tried a couple of things, re-setting/rebooting the iPhone. If this is for 3gs I have a fix for you! if you are on 3g you cannot unlock your phone at the moment.

These are the compatible and non compatible base bands. If you have a compatible one you are able to unlock your iphone 3gs
Compatible basebands:

* 01.59.00
* 04.26.08
* 05.11.07
* 05.12.01
* 05.13.04
* 06.15.00

Incompatible basebands :

* 02.10.04
* 03.10.01
* 04.10.01
* 05.14.02
* 05.15.04
* 05.16.02
Then you must jailbreak your iphone 3gs with snowbreeze.

and then inside the source download "ultrasnow" then reboot you iphone 3gs and it should be unlocked/jailbroken

Assuming you just updated from iTunes, and you mean the third generation iPhone (3GS) and it is indeed on 4.3.3, you will need your SHSH blobs for 4.1/4.2.1.

If you have the blobs for 4.1/4.2.1, you will need to downgrade to 4.1/4.2.1 and upgrade your baseband to 6.15.00 with PwnageTool or redsn0w. Once that is done, you will need to update to 4.3.3 and jailbreak while preserving your baseband with PwnageTool or sn0wbreeze, followed by installing ultrasn0w from Cydia.

The problem with Limitless's tutorial is that (I'm assuming) you just updated to 4.3.3 from iTunes, thus upgrading your baseband to 5.16.02, which is not unlockable.
