(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Apple has announced to the public that at next week's WWDC conference, beginning 6th June, that iOS 5, iCloud and Mac OSX Lion will be introduced, however no next-generation iPhone will be shown to the public.



This confirms all the rumours that a new iPhone will not be launching unless it is released later in the year, hiwever it is not likely we will see a new iPhone until 2012. But this does mean we can all look forwards to running Apple's latest and greatest incarnation of it's linux-based operating system on our iPhone 4's, iPod 4g's and iPad's. It also means we will be introduced to the world of iCloud, a rumour proven after Apple bought the domain last month for it's cloud based streaming services.

The statement also proves another fact; Steve Jobs, who left the company on terms of bad health, will retun to present the keynotes for WWDC. Many believed that after the iPad 2 announcement, also by Jobs. that be would not return to present keynots at such a large conference as WWDC. the largest conference Apple holds.

WWDC is a yearly event held by Apple that showcases their latest devices and progress. Many iconic Apple devices have been introduced here, such as the iMac line and the iPhone back in '07, and of course every major release of iOS is shown as well. It also introduced us to the Intel-based iMacs. Developers also have access to Apple's engineers, to find out technical aspects of the new devices and to answer questions raised.



Many of the announcements will be made at the introductory keynote on Monday 6th, however as WWDC carries on for the entire week, we should expect announcements all throughout the week.
