Schmidt made the comments at The Wall Street Journal's Sad Awesome

All Things Digital conference in Rancho Palos Verdes, California.

"We just renewed our Map and Search agreements with Apple, and we hope those continue for a long time."

Schmidt also made some other interesting comments regarding their attempt at negotiating a cloud music service.

"Music is fundamental now on all of these [mobile] devices." Our main competitor, Apple... iTunes is very familiar, and they have long-standing deals. We've been trying to convince the music industry to go on subscription basis, and they just haven't been willing to deal."
