(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); 1) install iTunes 10.5 b2
2) install iOS 5 b2

3) slide to set up
4) tap home
5) on emergency dialler, call an emergency number
6) press home
7) touch to return to call
Cool Man (aka Tustin) cancel call
9) press home

I found this while messing around with the emergency dialler, probably works with iOS 5 b1 too

enjoy :y:

With that you don't need to be a developer.

Is it worth doing? I mean, is IOS5 beta living up to the hype? Or is it buggy and not that great atm?

I installed beta 1 on my iPad 2 just 2 test it out.. But it ended up not being worth the trouble... Only the stock apps worked on beta 1.. I'm not sure about beta 2.. But my gut says it's probably the same deal.. So stay away from beta's unless your an iDevice developer.. The only reason I would upgrade 2 beta 2 is to play around with the wifi sync.. But it only works on macs right now.. Soo I'm out of luck..

Beta 2 isn't bad, it lets us play with wifi sync on Macs and a few other tidbits. The OTA updater now actually contacts the server (in beta 1 it was a dummy page), the stocks widget in noti ctr is disabled by default, older activation bypasses have been patched, although I found this one, but the app store seems to be broken for me, unknown if it's universal to all hacked versions. Still no sign of the new folders layout. I suppose there's some tweaks to improve battery life and increase security/improve user experience/improve performance under the hood too :|
