I wanted to jailbreak mine, and I looked at my friends iPod. 1 cracked app. He went from 100% to 20% battery in 1 game of glow hockey. If you want to, use Redsn0w. Jailbreakme isn't good, even though it's more simple compared to other jailbreak methods.
If you want to, just Jailbreak it to use the full potential of your phone and don't install cracked apps, as that really slows your iPhone down, and I MEAN REALLY SLOW!
