There, might help ya. Alternatively you could bash it to bits, toss in a blender, add gas, mix, dump on a wood pile and enjoy a good roast. Might cause fewer headaches in the long run.

i tryed that, when i put a sim card in it i get either half of the first bar or constant no service.

Your best bet would to to call the provider or apple maybe they can help :/ Otherwise I'm not sure what to do

its already jailbroken, i had to jailbreak it to access the device because i just got a screen that said connect to itunes/no sim and when i put my sim card in it itunes said it wasnt the right one.

ive gone to all providers that we have around here and put a sim card in it and still got no service at all. im pretty sure its sim locked to somewhere in the states and i cant go there to find out what company its locked too. i was thinking of calling apple and saying its supposed to be unlocked but its not and see what happens.

Your best bet is to sell it and buy one that'll work for you.

i was thinking on doing that too, but ive never sold anything online. Its a brand new iphone 4 not even a week old

Try selling in your local classifieds like Kijiji. I had an iPhone4 exact same way but I gave up with the unlock BS and just sold it. There is a card called "Gevey" which will unlock your iPhone. You can find more about it on google and buy it on eBay

i looked at that but i dont really trust it, cause you gotta file your sim card to fit into it and dial an emergency number or something. if i put it on kijiji and the person that buys it finds out they cant use it here can i get in trouble for like scamming or something?
