Nobody will know what the iPhone 5 is to look like at launch, except Apple, of course. A lot of rumours have been thrown around, all speculating the design and features, some true, some fake, some uncertain. A website known as MobileFun released some You must login or register to view this content. detailing how the device will look.

The images above show the device to look near identical to the company's previous smartphone, the iPhone 3Gs. It has a rounded back, like the iPad 2, and looks nothing like the current smartphone in production, Apple's iPhone 4, which casts doubt over all rumors saying the new device will look similar to it with a few differences.

Another thing to note would be the screen, shown to be side-to-side, as previous rumors have stated. It is likely the screen will be between 3.7 and 4 inches, which is larger than the current dusplay currently offered on existing iPhones, which have a 3.5 inch display at 640×960 pixels (retina display). Could Apple possibly outdo itself by creating a larger retina display?

Another third item to be noticed is the home button, shown here to be much larger that the small round circle home button of the current iPhone range. However, if reports are true and the next iPhone's home button is entirely gesture-based, then a home button this size would make sense.

iPhone 5 is due to be released in September alongside what Apple is calling "The world's most advanced mobile operating system", or to Apple enthusiasts, iOS 5, which will feature hundreds of new features including upgraded Safari, iMessages, OTA (over the air) updating and of course Notifications Centre.

I like how the iPhone 4 looks rather than the 3g/3gs. The more squared design looks alot more elegant, imo.

This looks great, I will be getting the iphone 5 on release day, the only bad thing in my opinion is the home button, I like it small and traditional :\

I heard that the home button will be touch sensitive. I don't like that idea really :(
