(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok, so I restored my iphone 3gs from 4.3.3 ofw to 4.3.3 cfw using sn0wbreeze and when it was done. it went into a DFU mode loop, NOT recovery. All there is
now is a black screen. I have tried everything. Here is a list of what I have tried.

- Restoring to OFW
- iReb
- Different CFW
- Downgrading
- Running fixrecovery421.exe and fixrecovery43.exe

This is everything I have tried. PLEASE help me as I just bought this today!!! BTW the baseband is 5.16.02 and it is a MC model, and NEW bootrom.

I also know that it IS DFU mode because whenever I go into something that asks for DFU, it is already in DFU mode. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!

If you restore with a CFW you can't get back to a OFW !!
Do you have the new or the old bootroom ? with the new bootroom you can't downgrade the 3Gs ... only works with 3G !
Just try to update again to 4.3.3 und jailbreak with Redsn0w .

And to get it out of DFU Mode try to press AND holding the "home -button" and the "Power-button" for 10 - 15 Sec this will get you out of DFU !!

And if you would like to unlock the 3Gs on 4.3.3 you must pay for it, i think it's not possile to do this by yourself !

Dude, you don't know anything. The cfw preserved the baseband, the downgrade WORKED, and I can unlock it ANYTIME I want FOR FREE! The home and power just kicks me right back into DFU and no it is not a hardware failure. This happens whenever I restore using a custom ipsw, but I usually solve this problem within a few minutes.

download tinyumbrella hit fix recovery or dfu wait about 10 minutes it should eventually boot back out if it doesnt come back to me for more help

But if you are on a Custom Firmware you cant update the newest OFW from Apple you must wait every time for a CFW to update your iDevice, and this can take a long time ! haha

actually no, please stop posting stupid things, you can update your firmware wherever you want even you using a cfw

Download RedSn0w ,select the firmware and mark where it says just enter pwnd dfu mode right now or something like that, after
just follow the instructions and restore witht the cfw

Never mind guys, I fixed it by deleting my hosts file all together. Somehow that worked like a charm. I'm SO happy!!! Thanks!!!!!
