Post: Jailbroken iTouch restore error
09-03-2011, 05:33 AM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Today I tried to restore my iTouch from General Settings and it never finished. Now it just sits on the iTunes screen and when I plug it in and try to restore it from iTunes on my PC it gives me an error (1611). Does anyone know how to fix this issue??? I have googled the issue and found nothing. :(

Have you attempted DFU Mode yet? If not try that, then attempt a restore.

Also to go along with DFU download YOUR iTouch's Firmware then when it's downloaded and DFU'ed Shift+Click on the Restore button in iTunes select the firmware, and let iTunes do the work.

There's lot's of tutorials on YouTube for DFU Mode - If you need the help PM Me.

Is it just stuck at the Transfer Cord plugging into iTunes logo? Because if that's the case do the following ..

Forceable Shutdown -
1. Hold the Home Button + Power Button down for 30 Seconds

DFU Mode -
1. Hold the Power button down for 5 Seconds
2. Hold the Home Button + Power Button down for 15 Seconds
3. Hold the Home Button down till iTunes says "Your iTouch has been detected in so and so mode"

Once you recieve that message, it will forceably update/restore.
