They aren't supporting 2gen anymore

The last firmware ever released for the 2G was 4.2.1, they weren't going to make anymore for the 2G device, mainly because it will not support all the new features, so maybe it's time for an upgrade!

Yeah same for iPhones 3G, the max OFW you can get is iOS4.2.1

No , Go to this website You must login or register to view this content. and select the firmware 4.2.1 for iPod 2g and go to iTunes , go where it says Restore but before you click on press Shift , so Shift+Restore and It´ll let you choose your firmware so just select the firmware that you downloaded

They dont release past firmware 4.2.1 anymore...its a shame.
