My iphone is on 4.2.1, which I can downgrade to 4.1 on apple itunes but I have nothing to kick it out of dfu mode so I can jailbreak it. My computer is not seeing my phone when I use the right redsnow. Everytime it says it does not detect my device and I must have done something wrong. I know it's the baseband now but need a direct link to something to fix it....I can't find the right thing from searchin the internet all day. It's such a pain in the ass.

i would have thought that they was all jailbreakable,even if it was a tethered jailbreak.
even putting into dfu mode is simple enough.

I assumed that too but found that it can't......I jailbroke my last one and had no idea why this phone wasn't working right. After about 3 weeks of searchin and trying I came to the conclusion that the baseband has to be the problem.
And I can't even put it in dfu mode hold both buttons and then holding the home...it doesn't work
