Have an iPhone 4 running 4.3.3 fw and baseband 04.10.01. Want to jailbreak and unlock it from o2 to vodafone

Few questions

If I update to ios5 will this change my baseband to an unlockable one?

Should I stay on my current firmware and is there a way to unlock it?

What other options do I have? Could I get a sim card chip for micro-sim that would work?
