(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok recently I was playing a game on my iPod and everything was fine. Went to Cydia and updated sources then realized I had accidentally deleted Skype off of my iDevice. I went in the app store and downloaded it. After the download, the app would open, freeze on the logo. I thought oh well bad install. I exit the app and then my iPod freezes and throws me in safe mode. Now the iPod is in a respring loop, it goes to lock screen, gives me a few seconds to play with my device, then it freezes, resprings (not in safe mode) and rinse lather repeatt... It happened before and I just restored then re-jailbroke it. This is rather annoying and any help would be great.

PS I have entered safe mode thanks to the SBSettings activator and that doesn't work and used the mobile substrate volume up fix and it is a no go. When I try to enter recovery through the device it takes me to a blank screen so I have to time it right and force it into recovery through TinyUmbrella. I would rather not restore, again, just after I fixed my device due to this same damn error but if there is no way around it I will do what I have to.

I'm afraid it sounds like you will have to restore. I know it is a last resort but it should fix your problem. Enter the device into DFU mode and restore through iTunes.

Try to figure out what tweaks you have installed through Cydia that could have conflicted and caused this issue. What did you install after you restored your device?

After you restore it again download Skype and see if it happens before you jailbreak. I believe the Skype app gives the following error when trying to launch on a jailbroken device:

You must login or register to view this content.

Feel free to quote me or message me with any further questions. I will do my best to answer.

Anyway, I really hoped this info helped, and good luck Smile

xCon fixes that error and I hadn't installed anything from Cydia in two days that's why I'm confused. And I did the restore last night and rejailbroke my device and now Skype works fine with the jailbreak (with or without xCon). This error happened before under similar circumstances and it's just annoying because if it was a tweak, safe mode would allow me to uninstall anything but nothing had been installed in two days and the device was working fine. All of a sudden it went "dead". Oh well, I restored from a back up and I'm downloading everything from Cydia... Again... Not Happy or Sad.

There is a difference in a respring and a reboot. You can respring all day on a tethered jailbreak and nothing would go wrong, as all it does is resets part of the ram. A reboot resets a larger portion of memory which is why you need untether. My device is untethered and it isn't in a reboot loop, but a respring loop.
