Untethered your iDevices

For untethering your iDevices you can follow this written tutorial it have pictures and everything and this jailbreak is very easy so select the one you need You must login or register to view this content. You must login or register to view this content.

Also a video:

If you're already tethered on 5.1.1

This is even more simple than the other way so if you have already tethered your iDevice this will save you lot of time and you won't have to restore and all that Smile

To untethered your iDevice you just need to enter Cydia and download something called Rocky Racoon 5.1.1

Step 1: Open Cydia.

Step 2: Search for Rocky Racoon 5.1.1 Untether and install.

Step 3: Reboot your device and verify that you can reboot without having to perform a tethered boot.

Well I followed the directions perfectly and absinthe errors out halfway through and force closes. When I reopen the program, it says it messed up and recovers some files. I said "Fuck this, Rocky Racoon untether it is" so clean restore to 5.1.1, tethered boot, download. Working now.

If you're having problems with Cydia don't worry it is because there's too many people trying to enter and they're causing a HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error You must login or register to view this content.

If you get this error: "Something seems to have gone wrong...trying to recover. Recovery completed. If you want to retry jailbreaking, unplug your device and plug it back in", or similar.

Then,
1. Restore iDevice using iTunes - Go to iTunes, click on iDevice on the left then restore (or shift restore and select 5.1.1 firmware, if you have already downloaded firmware).
2. After restore is complete, click on the iDevice on the left and make sure it connects to iTunes store.
3. Load up Absinthe and click jailbreak.

That's because your iDevice is not connected well or Absinthe don't recognize it  Are you sure your device is on 5.1.1 and you run Absinthe as administrator? :p
