Chinese tech blog BoloPad has released photos that they claim are, “Exclusive: Apple‘s new iPad Mini real machine spy photos.” If they are genuine, the photos show a device that is smaller but in many ways similar to the current 9.7″ iPad.

As best I can determine, the rumor was broken in the English-speaking press by AppleInsider this morning (5:29 a.m.!) AI treated the images skeptically, as more likely a prototype than the “working model”that later reports have claimed. The European rumors started a bit earlier in the day at NowhereElse.fr, that published many leaked iPhone 5 photos that turned out to be accurate to the actual product.

It is completely fake that "prototype" is running iOS5 why would Apple use a prototype of the next iPad running iOS5? Lowest iOS for that tablet should be 6.0 or use the Apple Testing version which I don't remember the name right now. :p
