Well, iOS is a closed OS, you can update your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad by simply hitting the “Update” button in iTunes. However, Downgrading is not as easy as updating, because Apple doesn’t allow downgrading to previous iOS version. Thanks to Jailbreak developer, by the amazing tools we can downgrade to previous version.

Important Notes:

This method only works with iPhone 3Gs, 4, iPod Touch 4G and iPad 2. You can’t downgrade iPhone 4S and the New iPad with this method.
You must have SHSH blobs for iOS 5.1.1 to downgrade. However, in case of iPad 2, you will need both iOS 4 and 5 SHSH blobs. But if you don’t have SHSH blobs, you can’t downgrade.
If your iPhone relies on Software unlocked, please create a custom firmware file before proceeding. Otherwise, you can skip this step.
