The developer, known to the iPhone homebrew and jailbreak community as You must login or register to view this content., has not released much information. The truth is we know very little. In a post on You must login or register to view this content., Pod2g wrote “About the iOS 6 JB : I’m not working on it ATM, sorry. I’m focusing on my job. Maybe discussions at #WWJC will generate ideas (?).” Pod2g also commented that while he believes Grant Paul is ‘trustable’ (despite having worked for Apple in the past) that doesn’t mean we’ll see a public jailbreak in the near future.Just because a jailbreak is demonstrated by a developer, it is not a guarantee that the jailbreak will see a public release. Stefan Esser has famously teased jailbreaks of the iPad 2 as well as a day one jailbreak of the iPad 3 but refused to release the jailbreak. Esser felt that the model for distributing jailbreaks was unsustainable and unfair for developers.

As for the Absinthe jailbreak which Pod2g was involved in, the exploit responsible for jailbreaking iOS 5.1.1 and the iPad 3, there were legal hurdles which delayed public release in addition to technical ones. It wasn’t enough that the developers could jailbreak their own devices, they had to deliver the exploit using code that didn’t belong to someone else. Soooo, the hacking convention thing has already happened? Yeah there will never be a public jailbreak for it. It wasn't too big of an update. All they really did was remove YouTube, and Google maps. :dumb: Also, when my wifi is buggy, NGU doesn't load the SB on my iPad, and Facebook crashes consistently. I'm waiting on the next update to fix this shitty one.
