I was facing nearly enough the same problem with one of my phones. Problem=Solved.
Download a battery Saving app, I am using easy battery saver and have it on Super mode all day. Battery at 100% at 7am, battery at 50-60% at 7pm of heavy usage.

If it shuts down automatically while there is still charge in the battery, its most likely that your battery has "bloated" and needs replacing. Luckily for you IP4(S) batteries are not that expensive and if you bought it recently you might still have warranty from apple which can be checked on Apple Self Solve website.

If you need any more help regarding your phone quote me.

Your battery is absolute, isn't that a good thing?

If your battery is using that much by having the phone OFF then there is definitely something wrong with the battery itself.

You should do a restore with a new .ipsw and after everything is new and your phone is blank get everything back from iCloud. That should help if not take it to an Apple Store.
