Eh, I find cases ugly and prefer to just have the phone on it's own. Not dropping it works just fine.

Try going to Apple and get it fixed by them. Then you'll have genuine parts and not cheap not offs.

It's not really a matter of doing it on purpose, drops are done on accident. There are some nice cases out there.
