try re jailbreaking the device ... what model is ?

might be that issue that most recent 3gs and ipods have they have some sort of thing that makes you have to re jailbreak everytime well thats my idea unless you did it wrong ... well you should try and rejailbreak re install everything and make sure its working but im sure the ipod is tethered
