Yes but for example if you wanted to search for string water the .bat file will search every occurrence of water in that directory rather than looking through each one, one at a time.

No,

The string finder look through all the folders and .GSC File-name extensions currently in those folders and note the strings you search for.

To do CTRL+F, You would need to open all the .GSC File-name extensions in those folders and to look through every of these 1 by 1 while searching what you need.

You can do this with cmd or as a .bat, it is very easy just type : findstr /s /i YourText *.*
