If you had an HD PVR you would probably not even notice a difference, it's just a bit louder.

TurtleBeach X12's react quite okay to this, so thank-you. But really, with my TurtleBeaches, it actually pains me, and hurts my ears when it's up too loud, and also I prefer talking to my friends rather than just sitting alone sound-whoring.

This is just a multiband compressor being added in the sound chain, what it does is make everything louder by reducing the dynamic range of the sounds.

Consider this do you want the reload sound of your gun to be close to as loud as an explosion?

If there is one thing I learned while doing my degree in audio tech it was dynamic range is important.
