Yes, simply by pressing the ps button and switching from controller 1 to controller 2, signing in the guest, pressing x on store twice, switching back to controller 1 and pressing circle.

like you said, just hold PS button and set the the first controller to 2 and hit store twice fast set it back to controller 1 hit circle and press X two times and the users should pop up
