I dont know another way to update other than multiman.
Takes 2 minutes to download update and delete it.
Fixes permissions and spoofs it to play on your firmware level.
If your playing online there are extra steps like deleting the files it creates GAMES folder via ftp or multiman internal ps3 browser.
Running ps3ninja to wipe game history.

I wouldn't even do this in the first place. You'll be banned in no time. Yeah you could "un-ban" yourself but still, not worth it.

Thats Actually Not True I Real Time Edit On BO2 And Im Not Console Banned. You Would Probably Get Banned Faster On MW3.

Then MAKE SURE you have the Black ops 2 in GAMEZ folder....
Install official 1.07 patch update.... then FIX (if 3.55 or under)
Install DLC
Install DLC FIX

Then Woolah...... You's gots DLC....
