Yes it is possible.
1. Go to custom game and add split screener
2. Press O with controller 1 and leave party with controller 2
3. Press O and you should be taken to the main multiplayer menu
4. Press play online and pick the account with the rank you wanna steal but dont sign in.
5. After the connecting to the online service dissapears, you will need to unplug your ethernet or turn off your wifi so that it says 'no network connection detected' and re-connect to the internet
6. Once you re-connect, press sign in and spam X so you get online
7. If it works, the league best should appear and i think the combat record or rank should be different (from the account you are trying to steal)
8. Play a few games so it saves
This will not always work, if it does not work, turn off your ps3 and try again
