I use multiman and filezilla as ftp connections

Open multiman on the ps3.
Open filezilla on the pc.
Connect to your ps3 putting the ps3 ip address in the bar at the top and clicking connect

If you did it right you will see pc fikes and folders in the left pane and ps3 folders in the right pane

In the right pane, go to HDD0/Game/BLESxxxxx/USDIR/
In the lafet pane, go to where you have your eboot saved and drag and drop it over.

Very general guidelines, but you vet the idea Smile

Thanks, it does give me a good idea however, when i try to connect on filezilla, it says it can not connect to server?

I have unplugged my ethernet from my router and made a wired connection from my laptop to ps3, i believe you have to turn on FTP Service in mulitman?? I have done this, its on 'Enable (No Timeout)' but still it times out. Why is it doing this?

Hmmm. Not sure about that. I have never played with the setting and never had the connection timeout on me.

You dont have to turn anything on in mm, just open it from xmb and leave it.
At work now so cant check but im sure theres a way of checking your ip address of your ps3. Are you sure its correct?

Im not 100% sure, but just fyi, ive never been online with this console, when there's no Ethernet plugged in to the ps3 from router it says (in system information) IP Address: Not Available.

When i plug in Ethernet (but not signed in) it gives me an IP 192.168.1.7
I have used this in CCAPI v2.5 and it has connected, so im sure that the IP is correct, but to connect filezilla i need to unplug ps3 from router and wire the connection between ps3/laptop which means the IP address is not available, could this be the reason? shall i setup a wireless connection (but not sign in) and see if that works? and do you run wireless connection while edited/replacing eboots or do you run wired full time?

Haha, nope dont need a wire. Mines all done via wifi.
Glad you got it sorted...at lwast you know where to put the eboot now Happy

And you dont need to sign into psn, as long as it has a connection, all is good Happy
