I think it was because I deleted the eboot instead of replacing it. I tried deleteing the save data from game data utility and it keeps doing it. If anyone has a solution that works, I will pay $5 paypal.

Replace the eboot? The savedata wouldn't have anything to do with the eboot, no?

In most cases, freezing occurs whenever you have a bad EBOOT or corrupt files. Try to replace your current EBOOT with a clean one and if that doesn't work, then go ahead and delete your Game Data Utility and reupdate the game software.

i did i even had my friend try to sign into my account and it froze with him and the little square at the left bottom even showed up

Your friend signed in on a different PS3 or on your console?
