I would really like to ask you all some questions. I have a JB3.55 PS3 and I’m going to fix my YLOD PS3 after my exams on university.

After doing that, how can I get my PS3 to work with hack patches for CoD and GTA? (Like play online and have fun?) People are talking about DEX/CEX PS3. How does it work? And how can I ‘convert’ it to DEX/CEX? Can anyone leave a comment and explain me (or a guide?? ;-))

If you are on 3.55 then your ps3 is cex. That is retail mode dex is developer mode. I would recommend converting to dex. You can find how to do it on the internet. It patches a bunch of psn stuff and makes it easier to get online. I also recommend going for 3.55 cfw to rebug 4.70.1. If you are looking to rtm there are two possibilities. You can stay on cex and use CCAPI which in my opinion is easier but less reliable or you can us PS3MAPI which is connected to ProDg on your computer. You need dex for the second one and the first works on cex. Both work on dex. What it does is allows you to connect your computer to your ps3 and real time mod. Meaning you can download applications that allow you to send hack or mods from your pc directly onto your console without going through the directory and stuff. Hold i helped good luck
