So for some of you who saw some gameplay, you may have noticed in the beginning when recieving a power up you hear Samantha's voice. Then towards the higher rounds you hear Richtofen's voice.

Here's my little analysis:
1. At the beginning of this video, the Zombies have yellow eyes, They are still being controlled by Sam.
2. At the end, the Zombies have blue eyes, meaning they are controlled by Richtofen. Also The rocket comes down on nuketown which could of been one of the rockets during the moon easter egg destroying the Earth.

So, this map takes place at the same time as Richtofen switched place with Samantha on Moon.

There must be an Easter Egg on this map so those changes are made, or it just happens as each round progresses. We'll find out in a couple of days.

The characters, however, may just be some random ones. But I also noticed in the beginning they are in a hazmat suit, but in the end, they are only in their government-like attire.
