Mine only concern with this has always been with the ability to revive yourself, it's a great perk IF you can get back to yourself.

So this is a very useful perk IF you can get back to your body.

Yup, and that's my main problem with this perk, unless you have 1 zombie left or you have monkey bombs, it's not easy to get up again

how long will your body stay downed?
can people revive you?
can zombies go after you and/or hit you?

Basically you start of with just the pistol and any grenades/equipment you were carrying.
You have the same amount of time to revive yourself as you would for reviving anyone normally.
Obviously if you go down you can't revive yourself
Your downed self can be revived by another player, if this happens you'll play back as that version of yourself
