I just wanted to throw this out here now because I'm about to go sleep so hoping there'll be a bit of input when I wake up.
So, say if your playing a 4 player game, and you get the usual: "I went down, so I'm going to leave the game" syndrome, whatever round you all get to if you all stay is void. But what I've been wondering is does this stop your chances of ranking up?
I know all your kills, downs, revives etc add to your overall stats, but it makes me wonder why it's never compensated for a lack of a player and put you on a different leaderboard score (ok I have never checked this because in the end the rest of the lobby, myself included will leave the game because there's no point in staying as everyone says.)
But as an example: if your playing a 4 player game and 1 leaves but you all stay, why doesn't it put you on a 3 player leaderboard? From what I've seen anyone who quits, the game will adjust the amount of zombies per wave to cater to the amount of people still playing (from what I've experienced so far.)
But why would they not let you get a new leaderboard score instead?
Why carry your stats over?
I did another thread about KDR and how I think it isn't the answer to ranking up and that I believe it's based on how high a round you reach. I've also noticed I rank up more in a 4 player game than solo, so maybe the more people in your group you get bonus exp for your rank. What experience that fuels your rank up is still a little uncertain by the community.
But if rank is based on rounds, and since your round isn't registered when someone quits, I'm pondering the idea that anything that helped your rank up doesn't count either?
Love to know what you all think, I've been thinking about this since Die Rise came out (mainly because people rage quit like 9/10 times), and that's because people STILL don't know what they're doing and don't know the layout of the map.
I always open the first door and drop a level below and get the PDW and do a few rounds with that, then I move on, most people will copy me, fall off but land on the Trample Steam workbench floor and get down instantly and will either rage quit, or moan for a revive then rage quit.
Enough about my strategies in Die Rise, I want to know what you all think mainly about the consequences of rage quitting, both for the quitters and those that are left in the game, cheers!
