So I played a 4 player Tranzit, didn't realize that I abused my bank, so when I got to town on round 1 and only had 5k, I thought I'll have to get bowie, then I decided to camp at town and build up points.

Only the last few days I used this strategy where, and this is hard to explain, people on here who know how to melee effectively will know what I'm talking about for the others I'll try to explain;
When a zombie is walking/running towards you, you basically do a side swipe whilst walking backwards, your almost pre-emptiving there attack and it's like your meleeing a zombie that isn't there but they'll walk/run into that hit box.

When I was in town, you get alot of zombies on fire, doing the above gets you hurt from the explosion when they die even though you look like your out of it's range, then I tried doing the above but jumping backwards instead of walking.

It works, I'm gonna keep trying and perfecting this technique, because I haven't mastered it yet, sometimes I'd melee too early and miss the zombie, or too late and get hit.

I hope this helps everyone and apologize if this is an old technique, I just wasn't aware of it until yesterday.

OR you could just use the galva knuckles...

This is you haven't got them like in my situation I described.
Also, this is a safer meleeing strategy in general.

The galva knuckles are safer than the bowie knife, they don't explode when you melee them with it.

I know this, that's old news, what I'm saying is that when your caught short and have to grab the bowie or even early rounds and using the standard knife, this is a neat way of staying alive, and not just explosions, but they can't hit you in general because your not there to hit.
