I can 100% say that the tramplesteam glitches which I have been doing (the one in the wall of the b23r and the one in the minion cages) still work, I'm infact doing the b23r right now on solo as I'm posting this topic. Perhaps you are positioning the tramplesteam incorrectly? Keep trying it took me quite a while before I got the hang of where to do it and now I can do it almost every time.
