Would say the haymaker second favourite shotgun but does lack damage/time to kill.

Best advice is sound whore perks, bait people into close range and abuse specialists also use a pistol.
Can get 4 shotgun kills 1 pistol kill and one shotgun kill challenge counts towards it

Specialists offer some extra survivability can be helpful with shotguns

Kinetic armour - Extra health is useful when using a shotgun just need to learn when to use it. Super helpful gotten 10+ killstreaks using it with just a pistol.

Rejack - 5 kills are required don't need the medal to pop the challenge. Can get 3 kills rejack get another 2 challenge is done. Again timing but can be useful for the KRM this one helped me the most given how when I did thing just gave me hitmarkers.

Heatwave - Giant stun nade allowing you to jump over people and kill them using a shotgun or avoid certain fights.

Psychosis - Learning how to use it is required but can help you get out of tight spots.

Glitch - Get behind people on a killstreak but need to learn how it works.

Haymaker is pretty good if you jump and slide

Extended mags
Fast mags

Can even use C4 to alert you when people get to close, stuns and shock charges very useful in giving you that extra second to somebody.

Shotguns was my first diamond class

Hardcore

I don't understand how people think bloodthirstys are hard to obtain. They're rather easy. As for the shotguns, simply camp your ass off, use good thrust movement, and like david said; use your specialists.

It's easy, Do it on hardcore with shotgun and camp.

Oh that easy.....it down to psychology :p

Keep telling yourself you can't do it and end up making poor decisions impacting your performance. From my experience you need to play the metagame, predict the traffic, predict your opponent, exploit the movement system and use your specialists.

Once you get into the moment things just flow because you're not second guessing every action.

Definitely agree, that's why I had to stop raging as much; it was affecting my gameplay.
