Doesn't works for me :/ Zombie.cfg on usb right port closest to bluray drive, modded save using the app you linked, added the 2 lines to it, I reopened the program and reloaded the save to check if the changes I've done are there and they are.

When I launched the game, for some reason it asked the settings just like if it would be first time I play. Is it normal?

I had the same problem, put the code on 'Eboot.bin,
you can put a tool code:

and then use the pen usb with code
