You need to have a jailbroken ps3, You can't jailbreak a console on any firmware but 3.55. The only way to go back to that is downgrade your console with an e3 flasher which is a piece of hardware. Also not every model is downgradable.

You need a Custom Firmware console, you can use rtm tools or mod menus.
