I know that it was most likely someone who just modded their clan tag but I was wondering, do IW staff join random games of people who have bypassed to check if they are cheating?

Put your clan tag as "IW" with the quotes, Play a game. Once your finished , you can remove the quotes and it'll stay.

really thats cool to bad you cant make a colored name stay so you can have a colored name with the patch

For one, to scare people, 2 if you put in colors you can only have two letters. the ^and the # take to spots
