so it was a huge relief a bit ago when I got to prestige 10 and knew that when I got a weapon or unlocked an attachment I have it for keeps now. But as I was talking to some friends I realized that presiging actually serves as a small skill leveler.
Granted that legit 10th prestigers going up against non-prestigers will usually win simply because of time put in but as we prestige we lose all our stuff and now may be using weapons and equipment we are not used to or best with.
In CoD4 we didn't have the option to prestige so most went to 55 and then just played. I know as far as I was concerned I really got into the G3 silenced and became a master at that weapon. Since there was no starting over we all had our load outs that we crushed with and for the most part we rolled them for a year or more.
Until people stop prestiging this doesn't happen much. Of course you have great players that use any weapon and crush but you aren't seeing the masters of one as most are prestiging and will use the challenges from other weapons they may not be as good at to gain xp.
Thoughts?
(This is not a discussion about noob/glitched/overpowered weapons or perks simply the effect that prestige has on the overall difficulty of the game)
