If its true then it's bad. even though im a sniper i think it's unfair. You could not find him at all so it's stupid and it gives him a massive advantage. And anyway it's called hardcore mode !

U do have a silenced sniper in one of the missions in single player

Don't be so harsh. He is just notifying all of the CoD 4 snipers/players of this rumor wich is nice to know. I think it would be a great addition. And about the silecer taking away range, name one map that you actually snipe and the person is barley in your sniping range. Most maps that you snipe on you are well within you sniping range and could even hit people with a M16 silenced or anyother wepon (I picked the M16 I know for a fact that you could shoot people from far distances with it even with a silencer. When it says the silencer decreases range, I think it only makes it harder to aim at long distances to make it seem like you can't hit people from far away. Not the bullets actually dropping short of the target.

they have a silencer in the story mode on the m21 so why not have it in multiplayer
