the only word i understood there was the custom maps thingy i have seen loads on youtube for pc and they are class but im not sure about ps3. probably with a jailbreak you could inject them like a patch. :p i dont understand a word i just said i just picked the word packet injecting up from the mw2 area :black: :p

find where the new maps are located on the ps3 and it could work

Of course it's not connected to the server. Why do you think we have to download the maps when we buy them? Anyway, I don't think this will work due to the fact that it hasn't worked on the xbox, but I mite be wrong.

I'm thinking this because when IW takes out game modes, I don't remember there being a patch for it. When you hover over a game mode, it tells you how many players are playing it, probably because it is connected to the server. Each game mode contains certain maps. I don't think the player can edit that, but rather the server admin.
