you must have a ps3 on firmware 3.50 , if your on 3.55 just forget it
if you have it search ( ps3 jailbreak tutorial) then you will have some tutorials on jailbreaking and its gonna show you how to hack your ps3 then you must install a modified patch with your hacks (you can find some on cod4 exploit and hack sections) then you upgrade to 3.55 and you can host hacked lobbies
