some guy just posted a useful tutorial on loads of stuff like this (co-incadence) and so im going to give the credit to him.

Just open up your mp file and at the bottom type in set clanName "****".
then save it and re-open the same file with hex editor. On the right it should show all the writing from your word pad and on the left all there values.
So scroll down on the right till you find the four stars and click on the first one and where it is highlighted on the left click on that.

then just type in the following codes depending on which one you want. (dont press the delete button just type in the value to overwrite it) the buttons wont show up untill you are in game(wont show in wordpad)

11 = R3
12 = L2
13 = R2

06 = R1
14 = D pad Up
