On you exit part instead of cg_chatheight put in this. Bind button_x vstr a. Or what ever then at the bottom add set a"bind dpad_up vstr 1". There you go. If you have problems pm me

not quiete following u... but like uh put the cg_chatheight 8 and cg_chattime in vstr 1 and put the open menu like bind dpad_left "vstr 1" amd keep the exit menu in the vstr 4a..? lol sorry quite good at coding for COD4... just i never encountered this prob b4

If you just try that it should work and you take credit. I had the same problem before.

because if you think about it when you test the codes and you exit you menu you are actually still in the menu 4a but because you put in the cg_chattime to 1 the writing dissappears quickly but you are in the part of the menu so you need to add a bind like i have dont that gives you the option to be able to re-open the menu. Sorry the vstr command isn't full proof but i am testing more cmds like end vstr or close vstr if you want to help me test these codes add me on msn or aim
