1.Get to 55 able to prestige.
2. Enter prestige and wait 3 seconds then pull out ethernet cable.
3.Turn off PS3 by front.
4. Plug cord back in and turn on using front.
5.Log into the user that you did it with.
6.Go to game.
7.You should be level 1 next prestige.
8.Quit game.
9.Delete the user that you did it on.
10. Create a new user and re-create the account you just deleted.
11. Log in and go to game you should be 55 next prestige.

WARNING : Make sure you know your details before deleting user.
Not sure if this works past 55 unprestiged, have not tried.
Again like COD5 it may not work on everyones account.

theres some guy on u tube posted in a vid the title is : Cod5 Prestige Glitch /Cod4 Working 24th of june but his acc is closed his account is ps3glitcher187

he said on his acc that he tested it on cod 4 & it works if anybody nos him can he plz tell us

noone doit it is fake so you all delete your accounts i was about to delete my account when my friend said stop it is fake he tryed it and account gone
he add level 7 trophies now he has level 1 trophies

here's the way that i saw on youtube/normal sites
get to lvl 55(doesnt care what prestige, as long as your not 9th)
when you press the prestige button instantly pull out the ethernet cable, shutdown PS3 from front
shut down from behind
restart PS3
when you logg into CoD4 now, your lvl 55 next prestige, you can do this:
0 prestige to 9th, as you will get an auto-ban if you do 9th-10th
I HAVE NOT TESTED THIS, THIS WAS ON YOUTUBE (as I just got CoD4, and im lvl 24 no prestige >.>

cod4 i dunno.. but for COD5 i make it up till 10th prestige w/o any problems
