Post: Possible way to get more GPAD space
03-29-2011, 05:05 PM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); hey guys,i do know that you all are going to say why am i still posting in this section? well,a couple of months back i said i can do alot of stuff you guys wanted, like file compression etc... well,it will take time before i release that, but first,i will be showing you a possible way to get more space for your own personal mods.

1.you guys all know theres a GPAD0_MP right? well keep a close eye on the 0 in that name, this means its the default GPD settings, which is abit like default buttons config.
2.change the 0 to value 1 and that will be abit like legacy, try that out but make sure to make a copy of it and make sure to keep the GPAD0 in there too.
3.to load a bigger mod menu or split attached codes you will need to exec both of the files, just add this and your done:

exec GPAD0_MP.PRF
or
exec GPAD1_MP.PRF

thanks for reading,i will post more stuff soon, can someone test this and if it doesnt work close the thread.

P.S there are some gpad dvars in the dump, try using them before requesting this thread to be closed.thank you

Have you tried to put a cfg in the blus folder and tried to exec it? I'm pretty sure it only execs things from the "main" folder =/ So this wouldn't work unless you could exec to the path somehow, CG if you have anyway to get more space pm me Smile

I'm pretty sure that the game search's through some or all of the files to find it. The reason I think this is because of the fact that some of the cfg's work quickly, others freeze the game for a few seconds then activate.

I know in the PC version if the CFG's are in the player data folder you can exec them with just the file name, the CFG's you put in the "main" folder you have to type the cfgname.cfg and the default cfg's that came with the game are in the first IW_00 and I think you need the .cfg after the names but I'm not 100% sure about that one, but I've tried putting the CFG in other spots and it didn't work O_o But maybe it would on ps3 because it reads from the savedata by default in multiplayer, we might be able to just place buttons_default.cfg right in the savedata O_O Idk if anyones tried it yet though

Intense... I would try it, but my playstation is currently out of its case and all the parts are scattered over the floor of my room xD. Lets do what we used to do and make a beta post and get people to do our work for us =D
