I know if you invite a big enough party you're automatically the host, but I have this friend online and he only invited me and he was consistently going in and backing out in search of Shipment map but each time he did this he was ALWAYS the host.... just wondering how he did it?

Theres 3 options:

1. He had a GREAT connection.

2. He is using a lag switch to get host.

3. He is running around 5 speed tests when he selects the game mode to play.

If you want me to go in depth on these, just ask.

Okay, i'm following you about the great connection, because if it is so great the server would just keep selecting him to host yeah?

But the other 2 i dont really understand, would u mind explaining them mate?

Ways to get host

#1. Lag switch: flip it on when your finding the game and it will put you and your party in a empty lobby.

#2: Open a couple speed test's on your computer speakeasy.net It will lag your connection putting you in a empty lobby with you and your party.

#3: Having a great connection will not get you host in COD4 you get host in cod4 by having a lag connection...Now in Cod5 when it migrates host it will go to the person with the best connection so cod4 good connection no host... cod5 migrates to person with best connection (NAT TYPE 1)

yep, or u can do it the sniperlobby way where, u invite 6 people into ur party, so u have 7, including u, then i keep going in and out of a private match, and then quickly choose ur game mode and u will be host, but 1 person needs to leave in order to invite people
