I want people to state the problems with cod4. Obviously I need some technical answers. I will state the main problems with cod4, and how they should fix them.

PATCH: People now have discovered patch editing, and installing them with their jailbroken ps3's. IW should fix the patch script like MW2 so edited patches wont work, including the CFG in a new update.

BYPASS: People bypass patches to access older servers. IW should somehow close these servers (1.0/1.1/1.2/1.3)' like Black Ops, to avoid them using "statset" commands which **** up the leaderboard (Dvar/Cvar codes), also stops them from using modded gametypes to boost their score (Splitscreen Boosting)/(Ranked Match Boosting).

OTHER: People who bypass Cod4, usually go into "splitscreen" to use "statset" codes to set the statistic info, onto the leaderboard. IW should update their Playlist, so when you connect to Cod4, everything gets reset before you connect. This avoids any stats being set onto the new server.

RESET: Reset the leaderboards!

FIX: Fix minor glitches and improve spawning.



If i get enough infomation, I am creating a team to protest a petition to fix these errors in Cod4, I am giving Robert Bowling a list of fixes.

Do really think IW will go through with updating MW? The game is over 3 years old, and honestly: no one plays it (by no one, I mean under a 1000)

I think it's a good idea, everyone has become so obsessed by challenges and the game is barely playable due to the infections. But there's a minimal chance of the game being fix due to it being so old

This is a great idea and if it works and they patch CoD4 I WILL LOVE YOU!
I think IW needs to do something to take snipers away from domination like put a Playlist where you have to have a certain K/D to play so I don't have kids 360ing off of buildings that are on my team when I'm trying to win.
Promod playlist, I understand they can't make it like PC but if they have a playlist with the classes from PC and limited snipers that playlist will be popular.
MLG Playlist Limited guns, attachments, No last stand, no frag x3, no matyrdom.
A new map pack.
Demolition, You can't disagree that it has to be one of the most fun playlists.
When I was talking about snipers earlier they don't need to nerf and go treyarch but it's annoying with wanna-be grizzes jumping of buildings.

These are all third party, Cod4 wont put these in unless the developers agree with it. There is no money going into Cod4 no more, so the team who create these (map maps/playlist/demolition) wont get paid. This is the problem. I would pay no matter how much, just so cod4 would be back to normal.

If they add these features and get map pack trailers going more people will pick up CoD4 if they don't already have it considering its like $10. In theory this could work to get CoD4 alive and the developers more money. I can almost guarantee they will make more more than they spend going back to this game and releasing a mappack and new game modes

Why bother, Its so old they have cod6 to deal with and cod8 when it comes out. A bit part of this site is all about hacking and modding call of duty. Most people on here wont agree with you, look what happened with mw2 we had amazing things like Hawkins zombie land wich was better then playing the game normaly. If they patch it online then its ok but keep private matches modable.
