I don't have a direct solution, I too have issues hosting. Some things that I have read is to put your PS3 in DMZ which opens the ports on the PS3 also port forwarding using MW2 port codes, this may work for you but not for me. My NAT says open but I can not host a game for the life of me. IDK?

I don't know the reason but sometimes im hosting very easy like 8 in 10 matches but sometimes i can't host even 1 game in cage match. Maybe it changes time to time or something else.
What's your connection speed?it is also hard to be host if it's slow.

You don't get to be host just based off your connection, because when you join a lobby the host has already been chosen then the process is done again at the end of the match and a new host maybe chosen.

I heard that happens in xbox 360.I play on ps3
When i enter the lobby first,game chooses me host and it continues until i quit from the game.

you can either make a lag switch or upload a big youtube video so you cant connect to others and the ta-da it puts you at host most likely once your in a lobby cancel the upload or cut off lagg

this is for cod4 people idk about mw2

i tried uploading video and downloaded 2 torrent at the same time but none of them worked.

then your connection sucks ass and you dont need to host!
